MANILA — Singer-lawyer Jimmy Bondoc filed his Certificate of Candidacy (COC) for senator on Sunday, October 6, 2024.

He was accompanied by Senator Robin Padilla.

If elected to the Senate, Bondoc said he plans to push for the creation or adoption of treaties with other countries to promote talent and music exchange.

“Music and entertainment is an economic and labor force, pero ang pwersang ito ay hindi pa na-o-optimize sa ngayon, ‘di tulad sa ibang bansa na gamit na gamit,” Bondoc said.

“Sa Senado, ang kapangyarihan niyan ay mag-concur ng treaties. We can encourage the adoption or creation of treaties para magkaroon tayo ng pakikipag-ugnayan sa ibang bayan to exchange talent and our music force, na makakatulong sa turismo at para makilala ang kultura ng Pilipino globally,” he added.

Bondoc is running under the PDP-Laban party.

“Ang isa po sa aking layunin ay patibayin ang best of the best of Duterte principles,” he said.
