MANILA — Dr. Siegfred L. Manaois, Special Deputy Collector (SDC) of the Pair Cargo Assessment Composite Division at the Port of NAIA, Bureau of Customs, attended the 34th Anniversary of German Unity and the 70th German-Philippine Diplomatic Relations celebration upon the invitation of Ambassador Dr. Andreas Pfaffernoschke of the Federal Republic of Germany.

The event, held last Friday (October 4, 2024) in Makati City, further strengthened the trade relations between the Philippines and Germany.

Representatives from the German Embassy expressed their appreciation for the Paircargo Customs Office due to the efficient release of the embassy’s cargoes. The Enhanced Trade Facilitation at the Port of NAIA is one of the key programs of Commissioner Bienvinido Y. Rubio, strictly implemented under the supervision of District Collector Atty. Maria Yasmin M. Obillos-Mapa.

It is worth noting that, last April 4, 2024, the United States Embassy, led by Attaché Shadrack L. Scheirman, visited the Pair Cargo Assessment Composite Unit at the BOC Port of NAIA. They personally handed Dr. Manaois a Certificate of Appreciation from the U.S. government for his invaluable assistance in the timely release of their shipments, significantly contributing to the achievement of the embassy’s mission objectives.
