MANILA — The Pasig Regional Trial Court (RTC) Branch 169 has denied the request from the camp of Kingdom of Jesus Christ (KOJC) leader, Pastor Apollo Quiboloy, for him to be placed under house or hospital arrest.

This was confirmed by Quiboloy’s legal counsel, Atty. Israelito Torreon, during the arraignment of the pastor’s non-bailable qualified human trafficking case at the Pasig RTC on Thursday, October 17, 2024.

Atty. Torreon said they received an order from Pasig RTC Branch 159 dismissing their request. He also mentioned that they plan to file a motion for reconsideration, hoping for a more favorable outcome.

“We received this morning an order denying it. So we intend to file a motion for reconsideration,” Torreon stated.

He did not elaborate on the reasons behind the court’s decision.
