MANILA — Health advocate Dr. Willie Ong has officially filed his Certificate of Candidacy (COC) for senator, with his wife, Dr. Liza Ong, filing on his behalf.
Dr. Liza became emotional while speaking on stage after submitting the COC.
Meanwhile, Willie’s legal counsel provided an update on the doctor’s health.
“He will return to the Philippines by the end of November and will be available to physically campaign by December,” Atty. Gilbert Lauengco said.
Lauengco added that Willie will utilize social media during his campaign. He is currently in Singapore receiving treatment for sarcoma.
