MANILA — Barely 10 months before the 2025 midterm elections, former journalist-turned-ACT-CIS Party-list Rep. Erwin Tulfo surged to the top of Pulse Asia’s latest survey on potential candidates while former action movie star and Senator Ramon “Bong” Revilla Jr. found himself last in the Magic 12 with a ranking of 8th to 12th place.
It was learned that results of the poll conducted between June 17 and 24 showed Tulfo as the top choice of the respondents for senator, with 58% saying they will vote for him.
Tulfo was followed by former Senator Vicente Sotto III, Senator Pia Cayetano, broadcaster Ben Tulfo, former President Rodrigo Duterte and Senator Bong Go.
Presidential sister and maverick Senator Imee Marcos ranked 6th to 11th place, ahead of former senator Manny Pacquiao who placed 6th to 12th.
Completing the so-called Magic 12 of potential winners in the senatorial race were former Senator Panfilo “Ping” Lacson, former Manila Mayor Isko Moreno and Senator Ronald “Bato” Dela Rosa, who were all tied for 7th to 12th place.
