TEACHERS and students of Calumpang High School in General Santos City conducted a simultaneous prayer as part of 2023 Suicide Prevention Awareness Month.
The event was led by Maria Teresa Olino and Annie Endab last Friday, Sept 15.
The activity is a project of the International Association for Suicide Prevention in cooperation with the World Health Organization as it reflects on the inclusive participation of all to raise awareness and fight the case of suicide.
In a post of DepEd Tayo Calumpang HS, it said students appreciated the activity as mental health issues should be addressed.
“Mas napanatag silang maging bukas sa lipunan lalo na sa mga napapanahong isyu kagaya ng Anxieties, Depression At Stress na hindi karaniwang naibabahagi ng mga estudyante sa kani-kanilang mga pamilya,” it said.
The Teen Support Group is one of the organizations at CHS which can be approached during times when an individual misses love and self-esteem and the touch of hope, it added.
