MANILA — ACT-CIS Party-list Representative Erwin Tulfo announced that the House Quad Committee hearings are on hold to prioritize relief operations.

“Suspended muna ‘yung quadcom because of this operations effort. Sabi ng Speaker [Martin] sa akin na we have to suspend quadcom muna, Cong. Erwin, because we have to focus dito sa relief,” Tulfo stated.

“Hindi naman maganda tingnan na may mga kababayan tayo na nasalanta ng baha, bagyo, and we keep on investigating. So ceasefire muna. Unahin natin ang mga kababayan natin na nasalanta,” he added.

According to the National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council, over two million Filipinos were affected by Tropical Storm Kristine.

The House had been investigating the previous administration’s war on drugs, but this was recently suspended due to the heavy rains brought by severe tropical storm Kristine.
