President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. has called upon the National Security Council (NSC) and the National Intelligence Coordinating Agency (NICA) to remain steadfast in safeguarding the interests of the Philippines and ensuring the security of its people.

In a ceremony commemorating the joint anniversary of the NSC and NICA held at the Philippine International Convention Center, Marcos lauded the agencies for their unwavering dedication to the nation’s security for over seven decades.

Recognizing the covert and sensitive nature of their work, Marcos acknowledged that these agencies often go uncredited and unnoticed.

Nevertheless, he expressed his deep gratitude, assuring them that their exceptional skills, bravery, and selfless sacrifices are duly acknowledged by those who understand the immense efforts they undertake to protect the country.

“As the silent guardians, you shield us from various national threats. You stand as unwavering vanguards, repelling our adversaries, and diligently watching over us to ensure order and prevent chaos,” the President added, highlighting the pivotal role they play in upholding the nation’s well-being.
