MANILA — On Sunday, TikTok Philippines brought together the leading figures of its social media platform for the highly anticipated Creators Night 2023.
Dressed in avant-garde attire, content creators took center stage, showcasing their distinct styles while making a glamorous entrance down the red carpet.
The event provided a platform for many attendees to spotlight their advocacies and causes, adding a meaningful dimension to the glamour.
#BestofTikTokPH was a prominent feature of Creators Night, highlighting the most memorable and unique stories that underscored the innate talent and creativity of Filipino content creators.
Among the notable recognitions, actress Marian Rivera earned the title of Breakthrough Star of the Year, while Daniel Laudit (@danlaudit) and Eric “Eruption” Tai (@ericuptionta) emerged as breakout stars. P-Pop sensation SB19 (@officialsb19), Gabbi Garcia (@garcia.gabbi), and Yeng Constantino (@yengconstantino) were celebrated as Philippine Artists of the Year.
Highlighting the diversity of content on the platform, attention was drawn to Rivera’s iconic dance video, Kirby Quimado (@kirbyquimado)’s DIY bread roll recipe, and Juju Imao (@jujumaoo)’s innovative approach to enjoying chicharon with guacamole.
The evening also showcased popular content, including “Cupid – Twin Ver – Sped Up Version” by K-Pop group FIFTY FIFTY, “If We Ever Broke Up” by Mae Stephens, and “What It Is (Block Boy)” by Doechii.
Content creators assured their audience of more engaging and informative videos in the future. Andrea So (@andweaso) expressed, “More pasabog like my outfit, and hopefully more projects.”
Expressions of gratitude were also conveyed by Phillip Te Hernandez, known as Davao Conyo, and journalist Jacque Manabat, who acknowledged their followers for their support.
“I would like to say thank you because they take the time to sit down and actually watch my content,” shared Hernandez.
“Napakasaya ng TikTok experience ko lalo na at nagagamit ko ang platform para magpahayag ng mga tamang impormasyon sa tamang oras sa tamang panahon,” expressed Manabat.
TikTok, in turn, expressed gratitude to the thousands of creators enriching the platform with compelling content. Adam Presser, TikTok’s head of operations, reflected on the “Year on TikTok 2023” as a way to honor standout moments, and stories that inspired, entertained, and educated over 1 billion people worldwide. He extended appreciation for another year of joy and creativity within the TikTok community.
