MANILA – The Philippines will experience continued rain showers on Thursday (27 June 2024) due to three (3) prevailing weather systems, according to PAGASA.
A low-pressure area (LPA) within the Philippine Area of Responsibility, located 45 km east-northeast of Dipolog City, Zamboanga del Norte, is moving northwest toward the Sulu Sea.
This LPA, along with the intertropical convergence zone (ITCZ) affecting Southern Luzon, the Visayas, and Mindanao, will bring rain showers and thunderstorms to these regions.
Scattered rain showers and thunderstorms are expected in the Visayas, Dinagat Islands, Mimaropa, Bicol Region, Quezon, Laguna, and Rizal. Metro Manila, the rest of Calabarzon, and Mindanao will see isolated rain showers or thunderstorms.
Easterlies will bring scattered showers to Aurora and Quirino, with isolated showers in other areas of the country. Light to moderate winds and seas will continue across the archipelago.
