A SENIOR High School teacher of the Silliman University placed first in the Best Research Presentation competition at the 5th International Congress on eLearning.
Jan Cynth Palam was recognized for her paper “Online Teaching Resources and Educational Tools Used during Covid19: The Case of Filipino Teachers.”
SU Dr. Mariano Lao Global Studies Center director Dr. Dave E. Marcial and SOUL staff members Cindy Ruth Villariza and Steve Binarao co-authored the paper.
Research papers led by representatives of the SU-Lao GSC were also presented —
“Development of a Web-based Open Educational Resources System: Open Online Courses, Educational Platforms, Teaching-Learning Resource,” Order Thinking Skills during the Pandemic: The Case in the Higher Education Institution in the Philippines,” and “Perceived Benefits and Risks of China’s ‘Internet Plus’ in Legal Education: A Structured Review.”
Themed “Breaking the ICE: Innovations, Collaborations and Engagement Towards a Stable and Inclusive Hybrid Learning Ecosystem,” the congress was organized by the Philippine eLearning Society.
Asst. Prof. Janice Antoniette Forster, who also serves as the manager of SU Technology Business Incubator, is the president of PeLS.
