MANILA, Philippines — Filipina cue artist Rubilen “Bingkay” Amit has secured her spot in the upcoming 2025 World Games after finishing as the runner-up in the Asian 10-Ball Women’s Pool Championships held in Doha, Qatar.

The three-time world champion claimed the silver medal after a closely fought final, where she fell short against China’s Liu Shasha, 7-6.

“I finished second in the Asian 10-Ball Women’s Pool Championships here in Doha, Qatar,” Amit shared on her Facebook page.

“With this achievement, I have officially qualified for the 2025 World Games in Chengdu, China,” she added.

Fellow Filipina cue artist Chezka Centeno also earned a podium finish, bagging the bronze medal after competing against China’s Yu Han.

Amit now joins the Philippine floorball and dragon boat teams, as well as Olympic boxer Hergie Bacyadan, in representing the country at the World Games, which are scheduled to take place in Chengdu, China, in August 2025.
