TAGUIG CITY — On Monday, July 31, 2023, close friends and relatives of the late President Fidel V. Ramos gathered at the “Libingan ng mga Bayani” in this city to commemorate the first anniversary of his passing.
They paid their respects with flowers and prayers.
Fidel V. Ramos, affectionately known as “FVR,” served as the 12th President of the Republic of the Philippines.
He passed away on July 31, 2022, at the age of 94, succumbing to complications related to Covid-19.
During the commemoration, his widow, Amelita “Ming” Ramos, led the offerings and prayers at his gravesite.
The event was attended by former colleagues from the Special Action Force, as well as former Senator Richard “Dick” Gordon and former Interior and Local Government Secretary, Rafael “Raffy” Alunan III. (ai/mnm)
