MANILA — Senator Koko Pimentel on Friday (27 Dec 2024) urged the public to support local films during the Metro Manila Film Festival (MMFF).
He emphasized the importance of celebrating Filipino cinema and supporting local filmmakers.
“Suportahan natin ang ating mga Pilipinong artista at direktor!” Pimentel said.
“Ang MMFF ay hindi lamang isang festival; ito ay isang pagdiriwang ng ating kultura at talento,” he added.
Among the film entries are And the Breadwinner is…, Green Bones, Isang Himala, The Kingdom, Strange Frequencies: Taiwan Killer Hospital, Espantaho, Hold Me Close, My Future You, Topakk, and Uninvited.
The Metropolitan Manila Development Authority (MMDA) organizes the annual MMFF.
