MANILA — This year’s Traslacion took over 20 hours, with more than 8 million devotees participating in the Catholic celebration, setting a new record for attendance.

According to the Manila Public Information Office (MPIO), the Nazarene statue returned to Quiapo Church at 1:26 AM.

“At exactly 1:26 AM on January 10, the Poong Jesus Nazareno arrived at Quiapo Church from Quirino Grandstand,” MPIO said.

“This year’s Traslacion in 2025 lasted 20 hours and 54 minutes, according to the Nazareno Operations Center.”

Philippine National Police (PNP) Chief General Rommel Francisco Marbil called the event “successful and peaceful.”

“The successful and peaceful conduct of Traslacion 2025 reflects the hard work and dedication of the men and women of the PNP. They endured long hours and challenging conditions to ensure the safety of millions of devotees attending this sacred event,” Marbil said.

The PNP deployed 14,474 officers to secure the safety of those participating in the procession.
