MANILA — In a heartwarming initiative, the Manila city government, under the leadership of Mayor Honey Lacuna, extended the spirit of Christmas to the residents of Parola Compound in Tondo as she led the distribution of thousands of Christmas food packs as part of the city’s Pamaskong Handog Program on Monday (11 Dec 2023).
Before the break of dawn, starting as early as 4 AM, approximately 22,000 residents from districts 1 and 3 in Manila lined up to receive their Christmas food packs, eagerly awaiting the festive offerings under the Pamaskong Handog Program of the city.
The distribution was made possible through the collaborative efforts of Manila Police District (MPD) personnel and the Manila Traffic and Parking Bureau (MTPB).
Residents expressed their gratitude as they happily carried home their Noche Buenas, thanking the city government for spreading joy and warmth during the holiday season.
