MANILA – February kicked off with a price hike for liquefied petroleum gas (LPG).
Petron and Solane announced price increases of 70 centavos and 73 centavos per kilogram, respectively, starting Saturday. Petron explained the adjustment reflects the international contract price for LPG this month.
The increase means a rise of PHP7.70 to PHP8.03 for a typical 11-kilogram household LPG cylinder. Cleanfuel also raised its automobile LPG price by PHP0.35 per liter.
Before the hike, an 11-kilogram LPG tank in Metro Manila ranged from PHP860 to PHP1,140, with auto LPG priced at PHP42.55 per liter, according to the Department of Energy.
