MANILA — In celebration of International Women’s Month this March, the 2025 FCC (Filipino CEO Circle) Women’s Run PH is set to welcome 8,000 participants, inspiring and empowering women from all backgrounds to join the event.
Nicole de la Cruz, the Founder and President of Women’s Run PH, is optimistic about surpassing the previous year’s record of 5,300 participants. She expressed her excitement and commitment to reaching the ambitious 8,000-mark goal.
“Reaching 8,000 is something I have to work hard for,” de la Cruz said. “It depends on the dedication and effort I put into the event. Last year, I was ambitious, and this year, I am even more determined. Many are registering already, and while our target is ambitious, especially since it is for women only, we are working hard to make it happen.”
De la Cruz also emphasized the sense of empowerment that comes from racing. “When you cross the finish line, you feel a sense of fulfillment and achievement. That’s what I want every woman to experience,” she added.
The race is supported by the FCC, a network of women CEOs in the country, who aim to motivate and empower women to reach their full potential.
Building on the success of last year’s run, this year’s event will feature a challenging new 16-kilometer (km) category, pushing runners to new heights of achievement. Other categories include the 1 km kids’ dash, 5 km, and 10 km women’s runs.
This year also introduces the “Buddy Category,” allowing participants to sign up together and receive a full set of race kits. Additionally, finishers will be awarded a unique “twistable” medal, and a group of gentlemen will present flowers to the women at the finish line as a gesture of appreciation.
The event will take place on March 9 at the Mall of Asia Concert Grounds.
