MANILA — President Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr. has accepted the resignation of Department of Information and Communications Technology (DICT) Secretary Ivan Uy, a Palace official confirmed.
Palace Press Officer Undersecretary Atty. Claire Castro disclosed the news on Thursday (06 Mar 2025).
“DICT Secretary Ivan John Uy’s resignation was accepted by the President today,” Castro said.
“An OIC will fill the position until the President appoints a new secretary,” she added.
Uy, who assumed office in June 2022, is the third Cabinet member to resign within the first three months of 2025.
Former Transportation Secretary Jaime Bautista and Communications Secretary Cesar Chavez had also resigned earlier.
