MANILA – Several regions of the Philippines will experience rainfall due to the influence of three weather systems, the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical, and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) reported on Friday (07 Mar 2025).

The shear line will bring scattered rains and isolated thunderstorms to parts of mainland Cagayan, Apayao, Kalinga, Isabela, and Aurora.

Meanwhile, the easterlies will cause similar weather conditions over Caraga, Southern Leyte, and Davao Oriental.

The northeast monsoon or “amihan” will bring rains to Batanes and the Babuyan Islands. These areas may experience moderate to heavy rainfall, increasing the risk of flash floods and landslides.

Additionally, the northeast monsoon will bring isolated light rains to Ilocos Norte.

Elsewhere in the country, the easterlies will bring isolated rain showers or thunderstorms.

As for sea conditions, PAGASA warns that strong winds and rough seas will prevail over Northern Luzon, while moderate to strong winds and moderate to rough seas will affect Central Luzon.

In other parts of the country, winds will be light to moderate, with slight to moderate seas expected.
