MANILA — In a significant development, ABS-CBN Corporation has teamed up with Advanced Media Broadcasting System (AMBS) to revive some of its most beloved programs on its former channel.
The agreement was formalized during a contract signing event held at the Brittany Hotel Villar City on Tuesday.
ABS-CBN’s Group CFO Rick Tan, chief operating officer Cory Vidanes, and CEO Carlo Katigbak were joined by AMBS President Maribeth Tolentino and CFO Cecille Bernardo to ink the content deal.
During the ceremony, ABS-CBN CEO Carlo Katigbak expressed gratitude to their new partners for their support. He acknowledged the emotional aspect of returning to their former channel and emphasized the importance of focusing on their mission to serve the Filipino audience.
Starting May 13, viewers of ALLTV (Channel 2) can once again enjoy selected classic Kapamilya teleseryes from Jeepney TV throughout the day, including primetime slots. Additionally, the latest news updates from “TV Patrol” will be available to viewers.
Katigbak highlighted the persistent demand for “TV Patrol’s” credible journalism and expressed hope that their collaboration with ALLTV would enable them to once again reach their audience effectively.
Also present at the contract signing were ABS-CBN Chairman Mark Lopez, Vista Land and Lifescapes Inc. President and CEO Paolo Villar, Villar Group Chairman Manny Villar, All Value Holdings Corp. President and CEO Camille Villar, and Senator Mark Villar.
Representing AMBS, Maribeth Tolentino expressed excitement about the partnership and emphasized their commitment to a fruitful collaboration with ABS-CBN and ALLTV.
ABS-CBN’s return to channel 2 marks a significant milestone in the media landscape, bridging the gap between the network and its loyal audience. Since its shutdown in May 2020, ABS-CBN has explored partnerships with various digital platforms and TV channels, including GMA and TV5, to continue delivering content to viewers.
With this latest partnership, ABS-CBN remains dedicated to providing quality entertainment and news content to Filipino audiences nationwide.
