In a groundbreaking achievement, BTS’s Jungkook has etched his name in the annals of Billboard history with his solo album “GOLDEN.”
The album, which debuted at No. 2 earlier this month, has now secured its place in the Top 20 of the Billboard 200 for the third consecutive week, maintaining a strong position at No. 16 for the week ending December 2.
Jungkook’s “GOLDEN” not only marks his personal milestone but also sets a new record as the first K-pop solo album to spend three weeks in the top 20 of the prestigious Billboard 200 chart.
Adding to the accolades, Jungkook has also made history as the first K-pop soloist to log 15 weeks on Billboard’s Artist 100 chart, securing the 12th position this week.
The success doesn’t end there. Jungkook’s title track, “Standing Next to You,” has dominated Billboard’s Digital Song Sales chart for three consecutive weeks, cementing its status as the best-selling song in the United States for the third week in a row.
On the Top Album Sales chart and the Top Current Album Sales chart, “GOLDEN” claimed the No. 5 spot, making it the fifth best-selling album of the week in the U.S.
“Standing Next to You” maintained its presence on the Hot 100 for a third straight week at No. 73, while Jungkook’s collaborations, such as “Too Much” with Kid LAROI and Central Cee (holding the No. 93 spot in its fifth week on the chart), showcased the artist’s widespread impact.
Further elevating his status, both “Too Much” and Jungkook’s hit pre-release single “3D” (featuring Jack Harlow) achieved new peaks on Billboard’s Pop Airplay chart. In its fifth week, “Too Much” surged to No. 17, while “3D” climbed to No. 22 in its eighth week.
Internationally, Jungkook’s influence is evident on Billboard’s global charts. On the Global Excl. U.S. chart, “Seven” (featuring Latto) reclaimed the No. 2 spot, accompanied by “Standing Next to You” at No. 3, “3D” at No. 16, “Yes or No” at No. 68, “Hate You” at No. 152, and “Please Don’t Change” (featuring DJ Snake) at No. 185.
On the Global 200, “Standing Next to You” secured the No. 5 position, “Seven” at No. 7, “3D” at No. 27, and “Yes or No” at No. 120.
Jungkook’s resounding success on the Billboard charts stands as a testament to his global impact and the fervent support of his fanbase. Congratulations to Jungkook on this historic achievement!
