MANILA — The number of dengue cases has decreased, according to the Department of Health (DOH).
In a statement on Friday (Feb. 28, 2025), the DOH noted that while the number of cases remains high compared to last year, there has been a decline due to ongoing anti-dengue campaigns.
Data shows that from January 26 to February 8, 14,460 dengue cases were recorded, a decrease from the previous week’s 15,550 cases.
“Despite this, cases this year are still 64% higher compared to 2024. As of February 22, 2025, the total number of cases reached 52,008,” the DOH said.
In addition, the DOH announced the opening of fast lanes in several areas of the country in an advisory on Thursday.
