MANILA — Office of Civil Defense (OCD) Director Leon Rafael assured on Tuesday (Nov. 13, 2024) that there is enough aid for typhoon victims, emphasizing that the government has been closely monitoring and responding to the situation amid ongoing calamities.
“Local Government Units have enough food packs and supplies for affected communities,” Rafael said.
“If they need additional assistance, they just have to inform us. The national government is ready and fully committed, especially in Region II and other areas that may be affected by future storms. Our regional offices are prepared to distribute the necessary aid,” he added.
Rafael also highlighted that the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) continues to distribute family food packs (FFPs) in Cagayan Valley, particularly in Isabela.
As of November 11, a total of 32,293 FFPs had been distributed across Region II.
