MANILA — President Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr. has pledged ongoing relief and recovery support for areas impacted by severe tropical storm Kristine.

“Relief and recovery efforts continue in areas affected by Typhoon Kristine, while preparations are ramping up for Typhoon Leon,” Marcos said in a statement on Thursday, October 31, 2024.

“I assure the Filipino people that the government is effectively managing all disaster response efforts. We remain in full control,” the President added.

The Chief Executive confirmed that there are sufficient resources to minimize impact, support recovery efforts, and rebuild even stronger.

“All government agencies remain on full alert, ready to deploy aid wherever needed.”

Earlier, Marcos directed local government units to prepare for the impact of incoming Typhoon Leon.
