MANILA — President Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr. will cover the hospital bills of patients currently confined or undergoing treatment in government hospitals in celebration of his 67th birthday today, Friday (13 Sept 2024).

“Today, we will shoulder the hospital expenses of all patients in public Level 3 hospitals across the country, such as the Dr. Paulino Garcia Memorial Hospital here in Nueva Ecija,” Marcos announced during the launch of the “Agri-Puhunan at Pantawid Program” in Guimba, Nueva Ecija.

The Department of Health (DOH) is set to release P328 million to 22 tertiary hospitals nationwide to cover the medical expenses of these patients.
