MANILA – Defending champions National University Lady Bulldogs continued their strong performance in the 2024 Shakey’s Super League Collegiate Pre-season Championships, defeating Emilio Aguinaldo College with a commanding score of 25-15, 25-7, 25-13 at Rizal Memorial Coliseum on Friday, October 11.
Arah Panique led the Lady Bulldogs with eight attacks and two aces, contributing to their second victory and tying them with Arellano University atop Pool A. Alyssa Solomon and reigning MVP Mhicaela Belen added seven points each, while Minierva Maaya scored six points, including two aces.
“We still have many errors, so we need to work on our improvements,” said Panique after the one-hour and 17-minute match.
EAC, still searching for their first win, was led by Alessandra Razonable with five points and Erica Maye Bodonal with four.
Looking ahead, Far Eastern University (2-0) aims to secure a playoff spot against Adamson University (1-0) at 4 p.m. on Saturday. In other matches, Arellano will face Ateneo de Manila University (1-1) at 11:30 a.m., while EAC will compete against winless San Beda University (0-2) at 2 p.m.
