OLONGAPO CITY — “Para sa bayan,” thus quipped Bureau of Customs – Port of Subic Deputy Collector for Assessment Andrew Malcolm S. Calixihan as the BOC-POS has once again demonstrated its exceptional capability by exceeding its collection target before the month of May ends.

Led by Atty. Ricardo Uy Morales II, CESE, as of 21 May 2024, the Port of Subic has successfully collected P4.171 billion, surpassing the monthly goal of P4.094 billion. 

Customs Operations Officer V Jose Rommel “JR” A. Abac noted that this accomplishment represents a surplus of P77 million or an increase of 1.88% over the target. 

“This success highlights the unwavering commitment and efficiency of the Port of Subic team in driving revenue collection and supporting national economic goals,” Calixihan also said.

With eight working days remaining in May, he added that the Port of Subic continues to strive for even greater achievements. 

“The team is dedicated to further enhancing revenue collection efforts and contributing positively to national development,” Calixihan further said.

For his part, Morales II said: “This notable performance is a testament to the Bureau of Customs-Port of Subic’s adherence to the 5-point priority program of Commissioner Bienvenido Y. Rubio, which focuses on meeting and exceeding revenue targets. The Port’s success significantly bolsters national revenue.”
