MANILA — William Morrison III of the Philippines recently secured the gold medal in shot put at the Indiana Invitational Indoor Athletics Meet in Bloomington, Indiana, USA.
Morrison posted an impressive throw of 17.88 meters, surpassing Indiana’s Seth Brousseau (16.69m) and Dane Sebert (16.39m) to claim victory in the event.
A Southeast Asian Games gold medalist in 2019, Morrison also earned a bronze at the Asian Championships with a throw of 19.22 meters.
In addition, he captured two gold medals at the Philippine Athletics Championship last year.
