MANILA – The intertropical convergence zone (ITCZ) is expected to bring cloudy skies and scattered rain showers to Southern Luzon, the Visayas, and Mindanao this Friday (05 July 2024), according to the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical, and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA).
In its early morning weather bulletin, PAGASA reported that areas including Metro Manila, Calabarzon, Mimaropa, the Bicol Region, the Visayas, and the Zamboanga Peninsula would experience cloudy skies with scattered rain showers and thunderstorms throughout the day.
The provinces of Aurora and Quirino will also see cloudy skies with scattered rain showers and thunderstorms due to the influence of easterlies.
For the rest of Mindanao, the ITCZ will bring partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers.
Localized thunderstorms are expected to affect the rest of Luzon, leading to partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers or thunderstorms.
