MANILA — If elections were held today, hard-hitting journalist brothers Erwin and Ben Tulfo, will win hands down in the Senate race despite the nagging issue on political dynasties and a possible disqualification case.

According to the latest non-commissioned Pulse Asia survey, Erwin — who is now representing the ACT-CIS party-list and concurrent House Deputy Majority Leader — and his brother-broacaster Ben topped the latest non-commissioned Pulse Asia poll on possible winners of the 2025 Senate race.

Conducted from September 6 to 13, the Pulse Asia survey bared at least 60.8% of voters will vote for ACT CIS party-list lawmaker Erwin Tulfo for senator, a score way above his second place brother Ben with 49.6%.

However, senatorial aspirant journalist Berteni “Toto” Causing said Erwin Tulfo is disqualified because he was convicted of libel.

“Dura lex, sed lex,” Causing said, citing the age-old Latin legal dictum which means the law is harsh but it is the law.

Erwin Tulfo could not be reached for comment.

Meanwhile, former Senate President Vicente “Tito” Sotto III ranked third with 48%, followed by incumbent senators Pia Cayetano and Bong Go who scored 41.3% and 40.3%, respectively.

Rounding up the Top 12 were:

* former President Rodrigo Duterte (38%)

* Makati Mayor Abby Binay (37.

* Senator Bong Revilla, Jr. (35.9%)

* former Senator Panfilo Lacson (35.5%)

* former Senator Manny Pacquiao (31.9%)

* Senator Imee Marcos (29.8%) and

* Senator Ronald “Bato” dela Rosa (26.2%)

Outside the proverbial “Magic 12” were Senator Lito Lapid (24.7%), former senator Gringo Honasan (21.5%), House Deputy Speaker and Las Piñas lawmaker Camille Villar (21.2%) and former Senator Francis “Kiko” Pangilinan (20.5%).
