MANILA – The Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) announced on Monday (31 Mar 2025) that three weather systems will bring rain to various parts of the country.

A low-pressure area (LPA) located 80 kilometers west-northwest of Pag-asa Island, Kalayaan, Palawan will cause scattered rains and thunderstorms over Palawan. PAGASA noted that the LPA is not expected to develop into a tropical cyclone in the next 24 hours.

The easterlies will bring scattered rains and thunderstorms to Eastern Visayas, Bicol Region, Zamboanga Peninsula, Quezon, Dinagat Islands, and Surigao del Norte. These areas may experience moderate to heavy rains, which could lead to flash floods or landslides.

Batanes will see light rains due to the northeasterly wind flow, while the rest of the country will experience isolated rain showers or thunderstorms from the easterlies.

PAGASA also forecast moderate to strong winds and moderate to rough seas in Northern Luzon. Other areas will have light to moderate winds and slight to moderate seas.
