MANILA — The Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) has forecasted that three weather systems will bring rain to parts of the country today.
The Intertropical Convergence Zone (ITCZ) will affect southern Mindanao, causing scattered rains and thunderstorms in the Davao Region, Zamboanga Peninsula, Soccsksargen, and BARMM.
Meanwhile, the easterlies will bring scattered rains and thunderstorms to the Bicol Region, Western Visayas, Northern Samar, Eastern Samar, Samar, Romblon, and Palawan. PAGASA warns that moderate to heavy rains in these areas could lead to flash floods or landslides.
In Northern Luzon, the northeast monsoon will bring isolated light rains to the Ilocos Region, Cordillera Administrative Region, and Cagayan Valley.
Metro Manila and other parts of the country will experience isolated rain showers or thunderstorms due to the easterlies.
The eastern section of the country will see moderate winds and moderate coastal waters, while other areas will experience light to moderate winds with slight to moderate seas.
As of 2 a.m., PAGASA reported no low-pressure areas being monitored for potential tropical cyclone development.
