MANILA – Three weather systems will bring rains to various parts of the Philippines on Sunday (23 Mar 2025), the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) reported.

The Intertropical Convergence Zone (ITCZ) will cause cloudy skies with scattered rainshowers and thunderstorms over Mindanao and Palawan. The easterlies will bring similar conditions—cloudy skies and scattered rainshowers and thunderstorms—across the Visayas, Catanduanes, Albay, Sorsogon, and Masbate.

Metro Manila, the Ilocos Region, Cordillera Administrative Region, Cagayan Valley, and Central Luzon will experience partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated light rains due to the northeast monsoon or “amihan.” The rest of Luzon will have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rainshowers or thunderstorms from the easterlies.

PAGASA warned of potential flash floods or landslides in areas receiving moderate to heavy rainfall.

Meanwhile, moderate to strong winds and rough seas are expected over the eastern sections of Southern Luzon and the Visayas. The rest of Luzon and the Visayas will experience moderate winds, while Mindanao will see light to moderate winds with slight to moderate coastal waters.

Temperatures will vary across regions, with Metro Manila ranging from 21°C to 32°C, Baguio City at 13°C to 24°C, and other areas like Iloilo City and Cagayan de Oro ranging from 25°C to 31°C.
