SEN. BINAY 90% SURE ON RUNNING FOR MAKATI MAYOR

MANILA — Senator Nancy Binay said on Friday (14 June 2024) that she is 90 percent sure on running for Makati City Mayor.

“Sige na nga 90,” Binay responded when asked if she is 90 percent sure of running for mayor in the country’s premier city.

Once finalized, Binay said she will be announcing her political plans for 2025 mid-term elections.

Her term in Senate is set to end next year.

Meanwhile, Binay shared that she has been asking citizens of Makati whether they will accept her if she run for mayor.

“Naka-break kasi kami ngayon. So I’m taking this time na talagang mag-concentrate at umikot dito sa Makati para malaman talaga kung, kasi baka ayaw naman pala nila ako dito. So ngayon I’m trying to get ‘yung sentimiyento ng mga kababayan ko dito sa Makati kung gusto ba nila na magsilbi ang isang Nancy Binay sa kanila,” she said.

Earlier, Binay assured the public that there would be no two Binays running for the same position in 2025.
