MANILA — President Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr. announced Thursday (19 Sept 2024) his commitment to promote agricultural studies to encourage more students to pursue this vital field.

Marcos emphasized the importance of agricultural courses in achieving the nation’s goal of a sustainable food supply.

The President made these remarks during the distribution of Certificates of Land Ownership Award (CLOAs), e-titles, and the inauguration of farm-to-market roads in Coron, Palawan.

He noted that many students tend to avoid agriculture-related courses, prompting his administration to highlight their significance to the country’s development.

He further explained that land titles will be granted to graduates of agricultural courses to support their ventures into farming.
