MANILA — AGRI Party-list Representative Wilbert Lee has announced his decision to withdraw from the 2025 senatorial race.
“In consultation with my family, campaign team, and the leadership of AGRI Party-list, I have decided to withdraw from my senatorial bid,” Lee said.
“This has been a very difficult decision for me, especially since I believe strongly in the causes I champion and hoped to bring them to the Senate,” he added.
The lawmaker shared that he realized he lacks the necessary resources to run effectively for the position.
“Through my travels around the country, I have come to realize that we do not have the sufficient machinery to reach all of our fellow citizens, to introduce myself, and to communicate the advocacies I stand for,” Lee explained.
He further stated that he will now focus on supporting AGRI Party-list’s bid for re-election and continue advancing his advocacies.
