MANILA – Clark International Airport (CRK) reported notable growth in both passenger traffic and flight operations for the year 2024, marking a significant milestone in the airport’s development and expansion.
In a statement released on Monday, CRK revealed that it served 2.4 million passengers last year, representing a 20 percent increase from the previous year. Of the total, international passengers accounted for 65 percent, underscoring the airport’s growing role as a key international gateway.
Flight operations also saw a robust uptick, with a 29 percent rise in the number of flights compared to 2023. CRK facilitated a total of 19,221 flights in 2024, with international flights comprising more than half (53 percent) of the total air traffic.
“These numbers are more than just statistics; they reflect the hard work and commitment of everyone involved in making Clark International Airport a premier gateway to the Philippines,” said Noel Manankil, CEO of the Luzon International Premiere Airport Development Corp. (LIPAD), which operates the airport. “We remain focused on providing exceptional service to our passengers while collaborating closely with government stakeholders to ensure the airport’s continued growth and global connectivity.”
In its efforts to enhance both efficiency and service quality, CRK has implemented several innovative initiatives. The airport highlighted its adoption of minimum performance specifications and standards (MPSS), which have set high benchmarks for operational excellence. Regular audits by the Airports Council International (ACI) and continuous feedback from passengers further ensure that CRK maintains its high standards and meets global expectations for modern air travel.
The airport’s excellence in service was also recently recognized when CRK won the Routes Asia 2024 Award in the Under 5 million Passengers category. This prestigious award celebrates the airport’s achievements in marketing and connecting with global travel networks.
As Clark International Airport continues to expand its operations, officials remain optimistic about the facility’s growing importance in the Philippine aviation sector, positioning it as a vital player in regional and international air traffic.
