MANILA – The easterly winds are forecasted to bring rain showers and overcast skies to much of the Philippines this Tuesday, according to the weather bureau.
Scattered rain showers and thunderstorms are expected to affect Eastern Visayas, Central Visayas, Caraga, the Bicol Region, Romblon, Palawan, and Quezon.
These regions may experience moderate to heavy rainfall, which could lead to flash floods or landslides, the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) has warned.
“The rest of the country will generally experience warm and humid conditions, with a chance of isolated rain showers in the afternoon or evening,” said PAGASA forecaster Rhea Torres.
Torres also noted that there are no weather disturbances currently expected to impact the country.
“The easterly winds will likely continue to prevail over the coming days, bringing rain, especially to the eastern parts of the country,” she added.
In addition, light to moderate winds and slight to moderate sea conditions are anticipated across the archipelago.
