MANILA — Laguna Second District Congresswoman Ruth Hernandez has on Tuesday (07 Jan 2025) emphasized the continuation of vital programs and services for the province’s residents under her “Serbisyong Tama” initiative.
A key component of the program is the introduction of the Blue Card, which aims to address various medical needs and strengthen the provincial healthcare system.
In a recent announcement, Hernandez assured that the province is committed to providing complete, free, and quality health services to its citizens through the ongoing implementation of “Serbisyong Tama.”
The initiative seeks to improve healthcare delivery and accessibility for all Lagunenses.
One significant development under the program is the enhancement of maternal and infant care services, highlighted by the daily influx of patients at the Dr. Jose P. Rizal Memorial District Hospital in Calamba.
The hospital’s maternity ward sees an average of 50 admissions daily, with 15 to 26 newborns delivered every day, according to the head nurse. This underscores the high demand for medical services, particularly in maternal and child health.
The lady lawmaker stressed that the Blue Card will be a game-changer for residents, offering access to essential healthcare services such as prenatal and postnatal care, as well as other medical interventions.
With continued progress under “Serbisyong Tama,” the congresswoman is optimistic that Laguna’s healthcare system will become more robust and accessible, especially for the marginalized sectors.
“The program’s mission is clear: to ensure that no one is left behind when it comes to health and well-being. As the province advances with this new health initiative, the people of Laguna can expect more comprehensive and inclusive medical care in the years ahead,” Congw Hernandez said.
