MANILA — In line with their advocacy to uphold justice for women and children, the Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG) on Wednesday (21 August 2024) stood firm that cash rewards and warrants of arrest were necessary for holding Pastor Apollo Quiboloy accountable for the charges filed against the spiritual adviser of former President Rodrigo Roa Duterte.

“We in the DILG will never allow injustices to happen within our midst nor will we allow our children to become unknowing prey to sexual predators. Let the truth come out and justice be served,” the DILG said in a statement.

DILG Secretary Benhur Abalos earlier announced that a P10 million reward would be given to anyone who offers information that leads to Quiboloy’s arrest.

He added that P1 million each will also be given to those who will provide information on his other five co-accused, who are also associated with Quiboloy’s religious sect, the Kingdom of Jesus Christ (KOJC).

Abalos, representing the Partido Federal ng Pilipinas (PFP), is one of the senatorial bets of the pro-PBBM Alyansa para sa Bagong Pilipinas (ABP) for the 2025 midterm elections.
