MANILA – The easterlies will bring rain to several areas across the Philippines, according to the latest weather update from the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical, and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA).

In its early morning bulletin on Saturday (29 Mar 2025), PAGASA reported that cloudy skies with scattered rains and thunderstorms will affect Metro Manila, Calabarzon, Mimaropa, Bicol Region, and Eastern Visayas.

Meanwhile, Batanes and the Babuyan Islands will experience rain due to the northeasterly wind flow.

The rest of the country will have partly cloudy to cloudy skies, with isolated rain showers or thunderstorms.

PAGASA also warned of moderate to strong winds and rough seas over extreme Northern Luzon. For the rest of the archipelago, light to moderate winds and slight to moderate seas are expected.

Additionally, the weather bureau cautioned that heat indices could reach dangerous levels, with Dagupan City hitting a 46°C heat index, and Cotabato City and General Santos City experiencing 42°C heat indices.
