MANILA – The Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical, and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) has forecasted widespread rains across the country on Sunday (06 Apr 2025) due to the combined effects of the Intertropical Convergence Zone (ITCZ) and the easterlies.
In early morning weather bulletin, PAGASA indicated that the ITCZ will bring overcast skies with scattered rains and thunderstorms to several regions, including Davao, Soccsksargen, the Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao, Zamboanga Peninsula, and Palawan.
Meanwhile, Metro Manila and other areas will experience partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers or thunderstorms due to the prevailing easterlies.
PAGASA also issued a warning for the potential risk of flash floods and landslides during heavy thunderstorms, particularly in areas with mountainous terrain.
The weather agency further noted that northern Luzon would be experiencing moderate winds and seas, while the rest of the country can expect light to moderate winds and slight to moderate coastal waters.
Temperatures throughout the day are expected to range from 25.0°C to 30.9°C.
Stay updated and cautious, especially in areas experiencing severe weather conditions.
