MANILA – Light rains will affect several parts of the country Thursday due to the northeasterly wind flow, according to the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA).

In its 4 a.m. bulletin, PAGASA said Cagayan Valley, Apayao, Kalinga, Mountain Province, Ifugao, and Aurora will see light rains, while isolated showers may occur in Ilocos Region and the rest of the Cordillera Administrative Region.

The rest of the country will experience scattered rain showers or thunderstorms due to the easterlies, with possible flash floods or landslides in areas hit by severe thunderstorms.

Northern Luzon will have moderate to strong winds with rough coastal waters, while the rest of the country will experience light to moderate winds and seas.

As of 2 a.m., no low-pressure area has been detected for potential cyclone formation, PAGASA reported.
