MANILA – President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. has called on the Philippine Army to embrace adaptability and discipline in response to the growing threats of cyber warfare, emphasizing that modern battles extend beyond land into the digital realm.

Speaking at the Army’s 128th anniversary celebration at Fort Bonifacio, Marcos stressed the need for resilience, innovation, and unwavering commitment to national security.

“The battlefield has evolved, and the threats we face are more complex than ever. Cybersecurity is now a critical front in our defense,” he said, urging soldiers to enhance their skills and remain steadfast in their duty.

He commended the Army’s role in safeguarding the nation but reminded them that true service requires setting aside personal interests for the greater good.

“For 128 years, the Philippine Army has been a pillar of strength, ensuring the nation’s stability through every crisis, whether in combat, calamity, or cybersecurity challenges,” Marcos said.

The President reiterated his administration’s vision of a united and peaceful nation, calling for discipline and selflessness in securing the country’s future.
