The nominations for the 2023 Billboard Music Awards have been officially unveiled, introducing four new categories dedicated to K-pop. These new accolades are Top Global K-Pop Artist, Top K-Pop Album, Top Global K-Pop Song, and Top K-Pop Touring Artist.

The Billboard Music Awards selects its winners based on performance metrics from the year-end Billboard charts. The evaluation period for this year’s awards spanned from November 4, 2022, to October 12, 2023.

Top K-Pop Touring Artist:
BLACKPINK
BTS’s Suga
TWICE

In addition to these K-pop awards, BTS’s Jimin has also received a nomination for the Top Selling Song category for his official solo debut track, “Like Crazy.” Competing against tracks like Jason Aldean’s “Try That in a Small Town,” Miley Cyrus’s “Flowers,” Oliver Anthony Music’s “Rich Men North of Richmond,” and Taylor Swift’s “Anti-Hero.”

Furthermore, NewJeans is a finalist in the Top Billboard Global (Excl. U.S.) Artist category, where they are competing alongside artists like Bad Bunny, Ed Sheeran, Taylor Swift, and The Weeknd.

Lastly, FIFTY FIFTY is in contention for the Top Duo/Group award, along with Eslabon Armado, Fuerza Regida, Grupo Frontera, and Metallica.
