MANILA — Palace Press Officer Undersecretary Claire Castro stated that former Senator Leila De Lima can testify in the International Criminal Court (ICC) against former President Rodrigo Duterte, if she is allowed to do so.
De Lima’s legal counsel, Dino De Leon, previously mentioned that the former senator is willing to cooperate with the ICC regarding the case against Duterte.
De Lima was an outspoken critic of Duterte’s war on drugs during his administration. She was detained for seven years on three drug charges, all of which were later dropped.
