MANILA — President Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr. has instructed the Presidential Communications Office (PCO) and the Department of Health (DOH) to collaborate on bolstering the public information campaign for child immunization.

Marcos directed PCO Acting Secretary Cesar Chavez to assist in effectively communicating the initiative to the public.

“We need to get people talking, so they understand that this is necessary for their children,” the President emphasized.

He also underscored the importance of partnering with media outlets to disseminate public service announcements.

“We should utilize all available air time,” Marcos added.

According to a report from the DOH, the country has consistently fallen short of the 95% target for fully immunized children (FIC) since 2010.
