MANILA — President Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr. announced that the adjustment of working hours in government offices in Metro Manila is currently under study.

This initiative aims to ease traffic congestion in preparation for the planned EDSA rehabilitation this year.

“We’re studying it. If it works, we’ll implement it,” Marcos said.

The Metropolitan Manila Development Authority (MMDA) has proposed a 7:00 am to 4:00 pm work schedule for government offices.

The President emphasized the importance of consulting not only traffic managers but also the commuting public, who would be directly affected by the change.

“If it turns out that everyone agrees to it, I don’t see why it would be a problem,” Marcos added.
