MANILA — Police raided the compound of the Kingdom of Jesus Christ (KOJC) in Davao City to serve an arrest warrant for the controversial pastor Apollo Quiboloy on Monday (10 June 2024).

The Criminal Investigation and Detection Group of the Philippine National Police executed the warrant at the KOJC Dome in the Buhangin District at approximately 5 a.m. This followed an agreement with Quiboloy’s legal team, permitting four teams of six officers to search.

Quiboloy is charged with violations of Section 5(b) and Section 10(a) of Republic Act 7610, known as the Special Protection of Children Against Abuse, Exploitation, and Discrimination Act. These charges are being processed in a Davao court.

Additionally, he faces a non-bailable charge of Qualified Human Trafficking under Section 4(a) of Republic Act 9208, as amended, with proceedings taking place in a Pasig City court.

Arrest warrants have been issued by both the Davao and Pasig courts against Quiboloy and his co-respondents.
